As a technical founder, I have always been disappointed by the information and context asymmetry that exists between LPs, VCs, and Founders. I believe startups are at the highest risk of dying or dramatically decreasing in progress in the painful early stage for relatively preventable reasons. Therefore, incentive and vision alignment— coupled with hands-on help— are two of the most invaluable gifts you can seek as a founder. I first heard about Unusual's core thesis from my long-time mentor, Jyoti Bansal. Shortly thereafter, I met John Vrionis and in one meeting, it was instantly apparent: I ought to be associated with this mission, given it precisely aligned with my own thesis. At Unusual, we genuinely care about removing this informative asymmetric and providing hands-on help to founders when they need it the most.
I am obsessed with wine and currently working on my Sommelier certifications. I also climbed Mt. Whitney (14,505 ft) and Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft).
