Director of Community and Content
Rachel (Rae) Dinh is the Director of Community & Content at Unusual Ventures focused on creating meaningful connections for Unusual’s community and helping to share their stories. She is passionate about creating spaces for peer learning and collaboration and writing about the intersection between technology and craft.
Prior to joining Unusual, Rae worked as a Program Lead at the Partnership on AI, where she convened stakeholders across industry, academia, and civil society to generate best practices for AI development and the World Economic Forum building an e-learning platform to reskill displaced workers. Originally from Los Angeles, she holds an Msc in the Social Science of the Internet from St. Hugh’s College, University of Oxford and a BA in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.
It’s rare to come across a team as accomplished and humble as the one at Unusual. That, combined with the chance to build a mission-driven VC firm from the ground up made it a done deal.
For one of my first jobs, I worked as a hostel receptionist in Ecuador. My friend and I spun a globe and went where my finger landed!
