Whether it has been my technical roles in startups or as an advisor through StartX and Lean Launchpad, I have always loved working with passionate founders. However, after meeting with many VCs and hearing stories from founders, I learned how many investors there are that merely provide an investment with the occasional advice given at a board meeting, or who do not side with the founders during difficult or key decisions. After meeting with the team at Unusual, I saw the passion they had for genuinely wanting to support entrepreneurs, and I knew they were onto something special.
I started a nonprofit when I was in high school to donate books and toys to children experiencing extended stays in hospitals.
